Purpose of the Resource

This is a private reference site. It is not part of the Southwest Virginia Regional Jail Authority, the Virginia Department of Corrections, the Virginia Parole Board, Washington County courts, the Federal Bureau of Prisons, or ICE. It stores no official custody or court records. Staff cannot confirm a person's status, release anyone, alter a record, submit a filing, or act for a government office.

The site points visitors toward official regional jail records, state custody and supervision resources, Virginia court information, federal or immigration locators, and outside research tools. Those sources remain responsible for their own records and services.

Acceptable Use Rules

• Use the site only in ways permitted by applicable law.
• Do not use any information to stalk, harass, threaten, or harm another person.
• Do not make hiring, housing, lending, credit, or insurance decisions from site content.
• Do not attempt to enter accounts, systems, or restricted areas without authorization.
• Do not use bots, scrapers, or automated collection tools against the site.
• Do not interfere with site operation or another visitor's access.

FCRA Uses Are Prohibited

Washington County Released Inmates is not a consumer reporting agency under the Fair Credit Reporting Act. Neither the site nor its advertising partners provides background checks, credit reports, consumer reports, or screening services. By using the site, you agree that information found here or through linked tools will not be used for:

• Hiring, firing, promotion, or any other employment decision;
• Tenant selection, housing access, or lease decisions;
• Creditworthiness, lending, or insurance premium decisions;
• Licensing, permits, or government-program eligibility; or
• Any other purpose regulated by the FCRA.

Services Beyond Our Control

Links may lead to SWVRJA release records, VADOC resources, Virginia courts, federal locators, government pages, legal-aid material, or outside search services. A link does not endorse the destination. Washington County Released Inmates does not control an outside provider's content, accuracy, privacy practices, data handling, prices, security, or availability. Review that provider's own terms before submitting information or using its service.

Information Provided As Is

The site and all content are provided “as is” and “as available.” No express or implied warranty is made that:

• Information is accurate, complete, or current;
• The site will remain available without interruption;
• The site is free from errors, defects, or security weaknesses; or
• A partner search will return every relevant record.

Custody locations, release statuses, court records, and supervision information can change quickly. Nothing published here is an official statement from SWVRJA, a sheriff, VADOC, a court, BOP, ICE, or any government agency. Confirm important facts with the office that created the record.

Limits on Liability

To the fullest extent allowed by law, Washington County Released Inmates and its owners, operators, and content partners are not liable for direct, indirect, incidental, consequential, special, or punitive damages arising from access to, inability to access, or reliance on the site, its content, or any linked service.

Your Duty to Indemnify

You agree to defend, indemnify, and hold harmless Washington County Released Inmates, its owners, operators, and partners from claims, losses, liabilities, costs, and reasonable legal fees that result from your use of the site or your violation of these terms.

Ownership of Site Material

Unless otherwise identified, the site's text, graphics, logos, layout, and code belong to Washington County Released Inmates or its content partners. You may not copy, republish, distribute, modify, or create derivative works from that material without prior written permission, except where applicable law permits the use.

Revisions to These Terms

These terms may be revised at any time. A revised version becomes effective when it is posted here. Continued use after publication of a change means you accept the updated terms.

Suspension of Access

Access to all or part of the site may be limited, suspended, or blocked at any time, for any reason, and without advance notice. This includes access restricted because of misuse, security concerns, operational needs, or a violation of these terms.

Virginia Law Applies

These terms are governed by the laws of the Commonwealth of Virginia, without regard to conflict-of-law principles. Any dispute concerning these terms or use of the site must be brought in a court with proper jurisdiction in Virginia.

If One Term Fails

If a court finds any provision invalid or unenforceable, that provision will be limited or adjusted only as much as needed. Every remaining provision will continue in force.
